about

Originally written in 2007 by Jack Aurora (also know as Jackie Moon and sometimes Jack Gaston) with his then band Six Seconds in Dallas with Jordie Sunshine who later rearranged the song. A shoegazy recording of the original version of the song exists somewhere but it is unsure where exactly. The original lyrics are also thought to be lost and so the lyrics used in Dandelion Tea's 2019 release have been pieced together from memory.

lyrics

After all that room sound faded away
We were left here waiting alone
Just as dusk was calling an end to that day
I left the house for home

You wanted to see something that you'd never seen
But that was never enough
You wanted to be somewhere that you'd never been
I was out walking on the roof

Just above your ceiling
Just to get some feeling

After all that room sound faded away
You hear it play one last time
I was thinking that it's not a game to play
I never heard a thing

I'd be quite happy to see the same things each day
Oh you try to stay, you try to drag me away
In many different ways I can see that life is failing
The crowded path that leads me astray

Just above your ceiling
Just to get some feeling
Falling through your ceiling
Just to get some feeling

I can't get you out of my head

After all that room sound faded away
You hear it play one last time
